A very cool restaurant! We wandered in for the first time right before closing, fully expecting tired faces and leftover food — but nope! To our surprise, everything tasted like someone’s grandma was in the kitchen cooking just for us. Fresh, warm, home-style dishes that made us feel like we accidentally walked into a family dinner. Super tasty, super cozy, and honestly… we’re already planning our next visit. Definitely coming back!
Amazing naan and roti with delicious curries, both vegetarian and non, to enjoy. Highly recommend if you want a meal that isn’t too heavy and is very flavorful.
Cozy spot with flavorful food! Highly recommended: Mango & sweet lassi – some of the best I’ve ever had: super creamy and not overly sweet. Veg korma – rich, flavorful cashew curry without being too sweet. Bhindi masala – nicely seasoned and not overly dry. Just okay: Veg chowmein – didn’t capture that true Indian street-style flavor, but still decent. Naans – a bit undercooked, though generously sized. I did end up with an upset stomach afterward (not sure which dish was the culprit, and everyone else was fine), so it might’ve just been an off day. Still, I’d happily come back for another try!
I had such a wonderful experience at Aangan Restaurant & Bar in Albany! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, perfect for both casual dining and special nights out. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every dish was cooked to perfection and had that authentic taste that made me feel right at home. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always making sure we had everything we needed. On top of that, the drinks were excellent and paired perfectly with the meal. I’ll definitely be coming back again and recommending this spot to all my friends and family. A true gem in Albany!
I went there with my friend. The server weren’t so friendly towards us and they served the food cold. But one of the server who was tall lady(with all due respect) she was sweet and respectful but the other one had different attitude toward us which I didn’t appreciate at all. And when the food was served, it was served by a guy who was rude and didn’t even know how to smile or whatsoever. Even though the food was cold it was good and we enjoyed. But they need to improve their service especially the guy and the lady at a front( with all due respect the short height girl)
