A friend wanted to try this place so we came for week night dinner. Easy parking out back, was very quiet when we arrived but several large parties came later. Decor was really lovely we were very comfortable & liked the green & blue chairs & hanging umbrellas. Nice selection of beers & wine. Started with delicious appetizers, shrimp & pani poori, goat curry was not my pick but wow it was SO delicious- on both rice or naan. Also enjoyed tandoori style chicken momo’s. Service was not particularly friendly but was efficient & alert. Clean restrooms also a plus. Overall a place I plan to return to!
A true hidden gem in downtown Sunnyvale! I stumbled upon Delhi to Kathmandu Restaurant & Bar recently, and it far exceeded my expectations. The combination of authentic Indian and Nepali flavors, beautiful interior design, and very reasonable prices make it one of the best finds in the South Bay. ✨ What I Loved The atmosphere is elegant but cozy — colorful Nepali and Indian décor, vibrant wall art, and a full bar that feels upscale yet relaxed. The service was friendly and attentive throughout the meal, and the staff were happy to adjust spice levels and explain dishes. We ordered: • Tandoori Chicken – juicy, smoky, and perfectly grilled. • Malai Chicken Tikka – tender and creamy with subtle spices. • Rack of Lamb – outstanding! Cooked to perfection and full of flavor. • Garlic Naan – soft, fluffy, and perfectly crisped. • Coconut Rice – fragrant and a great pairing with the meats. • Chicken Tacos – fun Indo-fusion twist with great presentation. Every dish arrived sizzling hot and beautifully plated. The flavors were vibrant without being overpowering — you can really taste the freshness of the ingredients. 💰 Value For the Bay Area, the prices are surprisingly affordable given the quality, portions, and setting. Comparable restaurants nearby charge much more for a less impressive experience. • Authentic flavors with both Indian and Nepali dishes • Beautiful interior and comfortable seating • Friendly, attentive staff • Great value for the quality • Not too crowded even on weekends — easy to get a table without a long wait • Plenty of free parking nearby ⭐️ Overall A stylish and welcoming spot that deserves way more attention. Whether you’re craving rich Indian curries, Nepali momos, or smoky tandoori platters, this place nails it. Easily one of the best hidden gems in Sunnyvale — I’ll definitely be back and bringing friends next time.
We were there last Sunday and tried the Jhol Chicken Momo, Chana Masala, and Steamed Veg Momo. The Chicken Jhol Momo was definitely the highlight—probably one of the best you'll find in the entire Bay Area! The steamed veg momos and chana masala were also really good. Amisioon is honestly one of the best Nepali restaurants around. We had a great time and really enjoyed our Sunday lunch!
Delhi to Kathmandu is one of those rare places I never get tired of visiting. What sets this restaurant apart is its unique take on momos and a variety of appetizers that keep me coming back for more. Their Tandoori Momos, in particular, are a must-try—packed with bold, unforgettable flavors that you won’t find anywhere else. We recently chose Delhi to Kathmandu to celebrate a friend’s birthday, and the staff went above and beyond to make the occasion memorable. They played a birthday song and even set up laser dance lights, creating a fun and festive atmosphere that added a special touch to our celebration. The drinks menu is just as impressive. Both the mocktails and cocktails are thoughtfully crafted and delicious, perfect for complementing the flavorful food. Service here is consistently excellent. The staff are friendly, attentive, and always willing to recommend dishes and drinks based on your preferences. Their suggestions have never disappointed, ensuring a wonderful dining experience every time. If you’re looking for a vibrant spot with exceptional food, creative drinks, Delhi to Kathmandu is a place you won’t want to miss!
Good desi food and great vibes. I visited this place on a late Saturday afternoon at 2:30 pm. It was nice and quiet. The inside looks good. A great bar with nice decor and seating area. I bet this place will be lit during the evening time. We ordered the Tandoori Chicken Momos as a starter. It was good. Highly recommended. We got Butter Chicken and Naan as the main course. Butter chicken was a bit sweet but still it was good. The service was pretty good. I had a nice conversation with the server. He told me that the owners of this place are from Nepal but the head chef is from India so it has a nice mix of Indian-Nepalese food. He recommended me to try Kukhura ko sekuwa and Wai Wai Chepate dishes next time. Wai wai noodles come from Nepal. They have unique flavors to it. I will definitely try Wai Wai Chepate the next time I visit this place.
