Himalayan Curry House

Just wasted my $50. DD said they cant help. Reviews were decent so I decided to order. Chicken tandoori was burned. Other dishes were below par. And please change the rice. Don’t even feel like writing long review. Tired of bay area Nepali restaurants, most of them are hit or miss. Pls visit restaurants of Texas or NY, eat there for a while. If they can why can’t you guys do it here???? And pls don’t come back with your ready made reply that sorry it didn’t meet your expectations, we take these issues seriously, etc etc.. you already know a lot of things but still…. Still gave 5 star coz I don't want the owner to suffer.

The food is excellent. We love the Lamb Tikka Masala and the vegetable Pakkoras. Their dishes can be ordered at different levels of spicyness. We have never eaten in the restaurant as it is very small with only a few tables and better suited to takeout or delivery which is super fast.

The restaurant is located inside a complex with a lot of other shops. It's hard to find unless you are in the complex or know about it. We went here for lunch and ordered curry and naan. The food is tasty and the portion size is good for 2 people. Not sure if this restaurant only caters to Uber eats or other delivery services because no care or thought is put into the interiors or the ambience. It looks pretty beat down. Parking is available on the street but it's paid

I order take-out dinner for my family from here maybe 2-3x per month and have been doing so for 5 years. The food is delicious and consistent. The 'mild' dishes are truly mild as my children are super sensitive to spice (I question their ancestry, as I am of Indian descent, but I digress) and the spicy has a good kick. The Biryanis, IMO, are their standout dishes. My kids are basic and love the butter chicken and the naan is soft and pillowy. The owners and staff are lovely, hard-working people and I love supporting them.

We order from here several times a month and it’s consistently great. Food is fresh, tasty and always enjoyable.
