The Food is “not made with love and care”. It is pretty much “below average” in terms of Freshness and Taste. I picked up couple of items for Lunch and I was truly disappointed. The ”Chilly Paneer” (Cheese Cubes cooked in Himalayan Sauce) was stale and it seems they threw some fried Cheese cubes on already made Sauce. The portions were also really small ( please see pictures of the actual Quantity provided). It is barely enough for 1 person. I do not recommend this Restaurant for authentic Indian/Himalayan Cuisine. I have been a Customer but the Quality and Care of the Restaurant has deteriorated so much since it’s opening that “ I will never be going back to this Restaurant ever again.
Tried Himalayan Sherpa Cuisine in Carlsbad recently and overall had a great experience! The **lassi** was excellent—refreshing, creamy, and just the right amount of sweetness. The **choila** really stood out with its bold, smoky flavors and tender meat—definitely a highlight of the meal, however a spice level 7, it was intensely hot! If you're not used to that level of heat, I highly recommend asking for a 3 or 4 instead. The **chicken tikka**, on the other hand, was decent but lacked that extra punch or char you’d expect. We also tried the momo (dumplings)-they were juicy and well-cooked, but the flavor felt like it was missing a layer, maybe a more robust dipping sauce or spiced filling could have elevated it. Service was friendly and the atmosphere cozy. Definitely worth a visit if you're craving authentic Nepali flavors, just be mindful of the spice scale!
Ok Gringos… this place ROCKS! It’s super casual, very friendly, reasonably priced and the food is DELICIOUS! Each entree you order you tell them how hot you want the dish on a scale of 1 to 10. I like spicy, and we got level six on everything. It was perfect go higher if you dare. Bottom line, check this place out, it’s family run. The three guys in the picture run the show and I love this place.
Best Himalayan food I’ve had in a while. This joint knows how to spice things up and add lots of flavors . Their cilantro garlic naan was amazeballs. The soups were incredible. We tried the a little bit of everything and nothing disappointed .
I placed a pick-up order from this restaurant and was really disappointed with the food. I got samosas, paneer tikka masala, butter chicken, and a couple of garlic naans. The naan and paneer tikka masala were just okay. The samosas were undercooked, and the butter chicken was dry, overcooked, and the curry itself was unappetizing. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend getting food from here to anyone.
